Irvine-based EV maker Rivian announced on Tuesday that its latest software update will integrate Google Maps into its Navigation system. “Rivian drivers will now have industry-leading routing, estimated time of arrivals, traffic updates, search capabilities, and satellite imagery from Google Maps,” the brand said in its website, “all seamlessly integrated into Rivian’s navigation system.” The partnership with Google will include routes, live traffic and real-time road incidents reported by the Maps community. Rivian Navigation search was already powered by Google Maps, revealed “detailed information on places, like hours, photos, ratings, and place summaries.” The new update introduces tappable points of interest. The navigation system will also include Google’s satellite imagery, refreshed regularly. However, this functionality is only available for drivers subscribed to Rivian Connect+ — which includes access to streaming services and a in-vehicle hotspot. The updated Navigation also includes easier access to Home and Work locations, now also including range on arrival. The system provides range estimates for the trip and lets drivers choose whether they want to see the range in percentage, distance or both. Charging stops are also added to the trip, based on the drivers’ preferences and network compatibility — including stations from the Rivian Adventure Network, Tesla Superchargers, and many others. “For us, working with Rivian was like a match made in heaven, and it’s resulted in a fantastic product,” said Jørgen Behrens, VP of Google Geo Automotive, in a video posted on X by the automaker. According to Rivian’s Chief Software Officer Wassym Bensaid, “this is bringing the best of both worlds, rich data and reliability from Google Maps, and then the Rivian design language,” adding that “this is really just the beginning.” Other improvements in the upcoming software update included Drive Assistance connection to other electrical accessories, stability of the infotainment system and AC charging stability. The EV maker also fixed issues regarding charging, that were pointed out by users on several social media platforms since the last update launched — which introduced the new Energy App. Rivian said last week it delivered 10,661 vehicles between April 1 and June 30. The figures lowered year over year, despite a slight increase from the 8,640 units registered in the first quarter. The EV maker produced 5,979 vehicles in the second quarter, falling both sequentially (from 14,611 units) and year over year (from 9,612). According to the company, production “was limited during the second quarter in preparation for model year 2026 vehicles expected to launch later this month.” Rivian is also preparing to halt production temporarily as it prepares to accommodate the production of the upcoming R2 SUV, set to launch in the first half of 2026 and to be priced around $45,000. Electric vehicle maker Rivian said on Wednesday it plans to open a new artificial intelligence and autonomous driving research hub in London, marking its first facility in the UK. Rivian sold 10,599 vehicles in the U.S. during the second quarter of 2025, including 7,898 consumer vehicles under its R1 lineup and 2,701 electric commercial vans, according to new data published Monday by Cox Automotive. RJ Scaringe, founder and chief executive of Rivian, has transferred millions of shares and stock options to his former spouse as part of a divorce settlement. Guggenheim analyst Ronald Jewsikow downgraded Rivian from a 'Buy' to a 'Neutral' rating on Monday, citing long-term negative impacts from US policy changes on electric vehicles as the main factor.

Google’s June 2025 core update is now done rolling out, it took 16 days and 18 hours to complete. The core update started on June 30, 2025 at around 10:34 am ET and ended on July 17, 2025 at around 4:18 am ET. Google posted saying, “The rollout was complete as of July 17, 2025.” This was the second core update of the year, but we are expecting more core updates, more often, this year but so far, we only had two. This update seemed much more significant, with a lot of volatility and even a nice amount of reported partial recoveries from the old September 2023 helpful content update. There still seems volatility throughout today but maybe it will calm down tomorrow. I will say, I believe when Google says a core update is “done,” it means it is mostly done. These core updates, the super tail end, can linger on. But most of the ranking fluctuations for most of your pages, should be visible by now.
Google June 2025 Core Update Quick Facts
Here are the most important things that we know right now in short form:
Name: Google June 2025 Broad Core Update
Launched: June 30, 2025 at around 10:37 am ET
Completed: July 17, 2025 at around 4:18 am ET
Targets: It looks at all types of content
Penalty: It is not a penalty, it promotes or rewards great web pages
Global: This is a global update impacting all regions, in all languages.
Impact: The normal core update – updating some of the “core systems”. Google said this June update is a “regular update.”
Discover: Core updates impact Google Discover and other features, also feature snippets and more.
Recover: If you were hit by this, then you will need to look at your content and see if you can do better with Google’s core update advice.
Refreshes: Google will do periodic refreshes to this algorithm but may not communicate those updates in the future. Maybe this is what we saw the past couple of weeks or all those unconfirmed Google updates.
Google June 2025 Core Update Completion Video
Here is a video I put together a bit after posting this story:
Google June 2025 Core Update Volatility
Like most core updates, when the June 2025 core update was announced, we didn’t see much of any volatility. But then we saw volaitlity touch down on July 2nd. Then on July 10th we reported on folks noticing partial recoveries from previous core updates and helpful content updates (again, not everyone). And then, even through today, the volatility was heated throughout and it still as not calmed down.
Google June 2025 Core Update Details
There wasn’t much unique information to this update outside of it taking three weeks, versus the typical two weeks. And also this line, “This is a regular update designed to better surface relevant, satisfying content for searchers from all types of sites.” That line makes it sound not super unique and just a normal core update. John Mueller from Google said this is a “bigger Google Search updates,” I mean, all core updates are, but he said this on Bluesky.
Here is some of the more recent chatter from this site and WebmasterWorld:
Big changes started on Monday night. Bots took over, google traffic is -70% , sales are down , user engagement is zero. All the current websites have one thing in common: very, very, very low content. One low res picture + h1 + lots of keyword stuffing This current state is just the opposite of what Google says it wants websites to be
Search traffic has been lower since Monday, reversing the generally higher trend. A rollback of the latest update in progress? My site has been steadily gaining top three ranking terms (if that really means anything anymore). But it is bleeding backlink count at GSC. Either Google is discounting links now, or just not bothering to devote resources to count them. AI is far more important now than calculating backlinks perhaps…
My sales are effectively zero since April. But I think that this has equally as much to do with the current unstable political/economic climate driven by Washington. My sales were zooming from November to end of March. Odd how that worked. So yes Google is definitely always impacting sales, but for those of us selling higher priced discretionary goods it’s all about economic and political sentiment right now. I see even businesses in my field that are not as dependent on online sales and search doing very poorly now. Sales have cratered.
What on earth is going on? My global widget site has lit up today like a Xmas tree with US traffic so far at 60.3% This is how things used to be. I wonder if this will continue through the night?
Worst traffic figures I have seen in years, that’s what’s going on. GA realtime is glitched out but still the numbers are record low. You would never tell they are low by looking at server logs – the server is as busy as it has ever been. But record high share of that is various scraper bots, scraping gigabytes of data daily.
June core update ’25 has finished. My sites are decimated for the time being, it seems.:(
Decimated…first in many many years operating.
Me too. Google banned my website. Traffic dead, Adsense dead.
Since July 8 traffic is steadily up 20% (1.0K UVs up to 1.2K daily average)

Previous Broad Core Updates
Here is a list of the most recent core updates we’ve seen since Google started to confirm them. Previously we nicknamed them Phantom updates or unconfirmed updates.
Pixel 6a owners were forced to install a new update earlier this month that, for some, will have a considerable impact on battery life. Things seem to be going a bit better than expected, but Pixel 6a owners are indeed feeling the effects. Google started rolling out this new Pixel 6a update on July 8, with the update set to enact a battery reduction after the battery hit a certain number of charge cycles. For any device with over 400 charge cycles and an affected battery (meaning not all units are affected), this update would limit battery life and charging speeds as a precautionary measure. This came after limited reports of Pixel 6a devices catching fire. As mentioned, the update has since rolled out and is starting to affect Pixel 6a owners. User reports on Google’sforums and Reddit threads show Pixel 6a owners with, as expected, much worse battery life, with some only able to use their phone for a matter of a few hours or less. Others have found that the phone is not charging, or charging very slowly. The reason for it not charging entirely, though, seems to simply be that this update enacts a battery cap at 80% for some, meaning the phone won’t charge if it’s over that level. On the battery info page, a large message says that a battery replacement is recommended. The good news, though, is that this update seems to have far less wide-reaching impact compared to the Pixel 4a’s update. That suggests that not as many Pixel 6a owners have affected batteries in their devices, but it also just speaks to Google having handled this situation better than the last one. The Pixel 4a’s update was shrouded in mystery for a while, leaving owners in the dark as to why their device suddenly just didn’t work as it had. Yes my pixel 6a battery software cap has made my phone virtually useless. The closest service centre is far away for me and there is no communication method to confirm a walkin replacement. The online repair claim dies not work and I’ve asked for a cash credit but haven’t recieved one yet. They could have given warning prompts instead of making the battery virtually useless. I didnt have any issues with battery before the update. They should arrange a free pick and drop and replace battery. If you have a Pixel 6a, Google is offering battery replacements as well as Google Store or cash credits towards a new device. Are you still using a Pixel 6a? Have you seen any impact since the update? Let us know your experience in the comments below. Follow Ben:Twitter/X, Threads, Bluesky, and Instagram

A recent notification sent to Instagram users has sparked widespread discussions among search engine marketers. The notification informed recipients that search engines will automatically index public Instagram posts beginning on July 10. From that date, “search engines will automatically be allowed to show all photos and videos on results pages,” reads the notification. That means “more people could discover content from your professional account outside of Instagram,” the app claimed. In the wake of that announcement, there has been much debate about what it actually entails. Leslie Ann Hall, the CEO and Founder of ecommerce agency Iced Media, told Glossier that the update is “the biggest disruption in discovery and search behavior, since the introduction of Google, that brands have ever seen.” She claimed that Google and Instagram are “not the most common partners,” but are teaming up to counter the increasing adoption of search engine features on platforms like TikTok and ChatGPT. On the other side of the coin, Social Media Today writer Andrew Hutchinson argued that the big update “isn’t actually a major shift,” because Google already indexes Instagram content. He cited an Instagram Help Center post that claims “we allow search engines to index photos and videos from public reels and posts that were uploaded or posted from January 1, 2020 onwards from accounts that meet [certain] criteria.” All that’s changing, per Hutchinson, is the rate at which this indexing is rolling out to new regions. No matter how impactful the update ends up being, it clearly represents another step in Instagram’s plan to compete in the world of search. After developing only a handful of search features across its first 12 years, Instagram recently revealed that an improved “content search” is on its way to the app. “We’re…starting to invest more in search on Instagram because there’s so much amazing content,” Instagram Head Adam Mosseri said at the time. “And quite frankly, what we call content search — as opposed to searching for an account, actually searching for some type of content — it’s not very good on Instagram.” Google is already updating its results pages to include more dynamic results, and Instagram posts (especially Reels) are ripe for inclusion in interactive carousels. It’s not clear how big consumer appetite is when it comes to social media-powered search results, but if users want to use Google as a more contextual, ChatGPT-style resource, Instagram wants to be part of the answer. Following the announcement last month, Google Chrome is now widely rolling out the bottom address bar option on Android. Once available, Chrome will show a “You can touch and hold to move the address bar to the bottom.” This opens a new menu to let you “Move address bar to the bottom,” while there’s now a convenient “Copy link” option. There’s also a new “Address bar” page at the top of the Chrome > Settings menu. This moves the Omnibox above the gesture navigation bar for improved one-handed usage. The three-dot overflow menu is moved slightly down, but there’s no change to the order. It maintains muscle memory, but rearranging might have helped centralize common controls at the bottom. One upside, however, is how Share is pretty reachable. A bottom address bar for Chrome on Android has been a long-time coming. It was considered around 2016 and almost launched before Google canceled the effort. Afterwards, the company tried various other designs like keeping the address bar at the top but having a toolbar at the bottom (like Safari on iOS). Ultimately, Google maintained the original look that has been around for ages with some visual modernizations over the years. Today’s bottom address bar dates to Chrome for iOS getting the option in 2023. Make sure you’re on version 138 of Chrome for Android. If you’re not seeing it yet, Force stop the browser from App info (you might have to do it twice). FTC: We use income earning auto affiliate links.More. Following last week’s announcement, more Wear OS users are now seeing the Gemini update in the Google Play Store. Open the Play Store on your wrist and scroll down to Manage apps for an update to “Google Gemini on Wear OS.” After installing, you’ll get a “Gemini is now on your watch” notification, with Google Assistant no longer available. You can launch it via the “Hey Google” hotword, side button long-press, app icon (though it’s no longer one of the first things in the launcher), Tile, or watch face complication. The last two are named “Google” or “Google Digital Assistant” instead of “Gemini” when you’re scrolling through those lists, but the end result is the sparkle icon. (The At a Glance complication remains available.) Meanwhile, the Tile features a Material 3 Expressive design with a microphone button that hugs the bottom curve of your screen, and other modern shapes. Launching Gemini briefly shows a splashscreen with the sparkle at the center of the screen before you land on the “Ask Gemini” screen with a blue-purple glow that has yet to be updated to the four colors. When accessing an app/extension (including Google Search), there’s a brief “Connecting…” screen before the answer. In addition to text, visual responses can include images, while you get a thumbs up/down at the bottom with a microphone. Like on phones, there’s a “Gemini can make mistakes, so double-check it” advisory. Google Gemini on Wear OS is more widely rolling out — though it’s not fully available yet — as of Tuesday afternoon. Google has released an emergency security update for Chrome 138 to address a critical zero-day vulnerability that is actively being exploited in the wild. The vulnerability, tracked as CVE-2025-6558, affects the browser’s ANGLE and GPU components and has prompted immediate action from Google’s security team to protect users from ongoing attacks. Google’s Threat Analysis Group discovered a high-severity vulnerability in Chrome’s ANGLE and GPU processing components, officially designated as CVE-2025-6558. The flaw involves incorrect validation of untrusted input, which can potentially allow attackers to execute malicious code on affected systems. Security researchers Clément Lecigne and Vlad Stolyarov from Google’s internal threat analysis team identified this vulnerability on June 23, 2025. The most concerning aspect of this discovery is Google’s explicit acknowledgment that “an exploit for CVE-2025-6558 exists in the wild”. This designation as a zero-day vulnerability means that attackers were actively using this flaw before a patch became available, potentially compromising users’ systems and data. The emergency security update has been rolled out across all platforms through Chrome version 138.0.7204.157/158 for Windows and Mac, and 138.0.7204.157 for Linux. The Android version of Chrome will receive the same security fixes through Google Play over the coming days. Beyond the critical zero-day vulnerability, this update addresses multiple other security issues discovered through Google’s ongoing security research initiatives. The update includes fixes for an integer overflow vulnerability in V8 (CVE-2025-7656) and a use-after-free vulnerability in WebRTC (CVE-2025-7657). Google’s security team continues to utilize advanced detection methods including AddressSanitizer, MemorySanitizer, and various fuzzing techniques to identify potential vulnerabilities before they reach the stable channel. Users are strongly advised to update their Chrome browsers immediately to protect against active exploitation. The update process is automatic for most users, but manual updates can be initiated through Chrome’s settings menu. Given the active exploitation of CVE-2025-6558, delaying this update could leave systems vulnerable to ongoing attacks. Google has implemented access restrictions on detailed bug information until the majority of users have updated their browsers, following standard security disclosure practices. This measured approach helps prevent additional exploitation while ensuring widespread protection deployment. Stay Updated on Daily Cybersecurity News . Follow us on Google News, LinkedIn, and X.

Will Instagram’s indexing update shift the balance of power in the world of search? – Tubefilter
/in website SEO, Website Traffic/by Team ZYTA recent notification sent to Instagram users has sparked widespread discussions among search engine marketers.
“And quite frankly, what we call content search — as opposed to searching for an account, actually searching for some type of content — it’s not very good on Instagram.”
Google is already updating its results pages to include more dynamic results, and Instagram posts (especially Reels) are ripe for inclusion in interactive carousels. It’s not clear how big consumer appetite is when it comes to social media-powered search results, but if users want to use Google as a more contextual, ChatGPT-style resource, Instagram wants to be part of the answer.

Google Chrome for Android rolls out bottom address bar – 9to5Google
/in website SEO, Website Traffic/by Team ZYTFollowing the announcement last month, Google Chrome is now widely rolling out the bottom address bar option on Android.

Gemini Live Can Now See More Clearly! Google's Latest Update Makes AI Smarter And Sharper! – VOI.ID
/in website SEO, Website Traffic/by Team ZYTYou must confirm your age to access this page.

JAKARTA – Google officially brings an important update to the Gemini Live feature on Android, with a significant increase in camera resolution. This update answers complaints from many users who previously experienced a blurry video display while using the live camera feature (Live) with AI Gemini. In addition to visual improvements, Google has also made several other changes for a better user experience.
The Gemini Live feature allows users to point at an object or view using their phone’s camera, then AI will analyze and provide information based on what is seen. With this latest update, the quality of the resulting video becomes sharper and clearer. That is, Gemini can now “see” more clearly and capture the details that may have previously been missed.
This increase in resolution is very important especially for users who want:
Identifying plants or animals
Breaking problems with household devices
Looking for ideas or inspiration from their surroundings
Visuals that are clearer mean the AI interpretation will be more accurate, so that the suggestions and responses provided become more relevant and useful.
In addition to improving video quality, Google has also made some minor but important adjustments to Gemini Live users’ interfaces:
Left swipe gestures were removed Previously, users could access Gemini Live by sliding the screen to the left of the main page of the app or from the inside of the conversation. However, this gesture often triggers accidental activation. Now, users must use a special button in the lower right corner to open the Live feature.
Waveform view refresher For beta users, Gemini Live’s waveform is now changing colors. From the previous purple color, now it’s a more modern bright blue and in line with Gemini’s overall visual identity change. This change aims to give a fresher and more consistent impression.
In addition, Google also announced a new initiative called “Gemini Drops” “monthly updates that will present new features and tips on how to maximize the use of AI Gemini. With this approach, Google is trying to continuously improve the user experience gradually and consistently.
The video resolution update on Gemini Live is an important step in making AI more functional in everyday life. Now, AI is not only hearing and understanding words, but can also see the user’s world more clearly. With the updated interface and the removal of puzzling gestures, the Gemini Live feature now feels more intuitive and fun to use.
For those of you Android users who rely on AI to help with various daily activities, this update is worth a try. Gemini Live is now not only intelligent but also has sharper eyes.
The English, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, and French versions are automatically generated by the AI. So there may still be inaccuracies in translating, please always see Indonesian as our main language. (system supported by DigitalSiber.id)

Gemini on Wear OS update more widely rolling out – 9to5Google
/in website SEO, Website Traffic/by Team ZYTFollowing last week’s announcement, more Wear OS users are now seeing the Gemini update in the Google Play Store.
(The At a Glance complication remains available.)
Meanwhile, the Tile features a Material 3 Expressive design with a microphone button that hugs the bottom curve of your screen, and other modern shapes.
Check the Play Store to see if you have it. Available commands include:
General
Memory
Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, etc.)
YouTube Music
Fitbit on Pixel Watch

Google Chrome 0-day Vulnerability Actively Exploited in the Wild – CyberSecurityNews
/in website SEO, Website Traffic/by Team ZYTGoogle has released an emergency security update for Chrome, addressing a critical zero-day vulnerability that attackers are actively exploiting in real-world attacks.
The tech giant confirmed that CVE-2025-6558 is being leveraged by threat actors, prompting an immediate patch deployment across all supported platforms.
Google Chrome has been updated to version 138.0.7204.157/.158 for Windows and Mac systems, and version 138.0.7204.157 for Linux distributions.
The update addresses six security vulnerabilities, with the most severe being the actively exploited zero-day flaw. The rollout will occur gradually over the coming days and weeks as part of Google’s standard deployment process.
The CVE-2025-6558 vulnerability stems from incorrect validation of untrusted input in ANGLE and GPU components. This flaw was discovered and reported by Clément Lecigne and Vlad Stolyarov from Google’s Threat Analysis Group on June 23, 2025.
The researchers’ affiliation with Google’s internal security team suggests the vulnerability may have been identified through advanced threat monitoring or incident response activities.
Beyond the zero-day exploit, Google addressed two other high-severity vulnerabilities in this update. CVE-2025-7656 represents an integer overflow issue in V8, Chrome’s JavaScript engine, discovered by security researcher Shaheen Fazim. This vulnerability carried a $7,000 bounty reward, reflecting its significant potential impact on user security.
The third high-severity flaw, CVE-2025-7657, involves a use-after-free vulnerability in WebRTC functionality, reported by researcher jakebiles. Use-after-free vulnerabilities can potentially allow attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause system crashes.
Google emphasized that access to detailed bug information remains restricted until most users receive the security update. This approach prevents malicious actors from reverse-engineering patches to develop new exploits before widespread deployment occurs.
The company maintains similar restrictions for vulnerabilities affecting third-party libraries used by other projects.
The update incorporates fixes from Google’s ongoing internal security initiatives, including results from AddressSanitizer, MemorySanitizer, UndefinedBehaviorSanitizer, Control Flow Integrity, libFuzzer, and AFL testing frameworks. These automated security tools continuously scan Chrome’s codebase for potential vulnerabilities.
Users should immediately update their Chrome browsers to the latest version. Chrome typically updates automatically, but users can manually check for updates by navigating to Chrome’s settings menu and selecting “About Google Chrome.” Given the active exploitation of CVE-2025-6558, delaying this update could expose users to significant security risks.
The discovery of this zero-day vulnerability underscores the ongoing cat-and-mouse game between security researchers and malicious actors in the browser ecosystem.

Google Chrome 0-Day Vulnerability Under Active Exploitation – gbhackers.com
/in website SEO, Website Traffic/by Team ZYTGoogle has released an emergency security update for Chrome 138 to address a critical zero-day vulnerability that is actively being exploited in the wild.
