The Google Pixel 10 Pro models may launch with minimal upgrades over their predecessors.
Android Headlines published purported specs of the Google Pixel 10 Pro and 10 Pro XL, which show modest improvements.
Starting from the display sizes, the Pixel 10 Pro and 10 Pro XL will maintain the screen sizes of 6.3 and 6.8 inches, respectively. Both displays will also support 120Hz refresh rates.
Additionally, there are no changes to the RAM and camera hardware on both phones. They will reportedly feature 16GB of RAM and a triple-camera setup on the back that consists of a 50MP main camera, a 48MP ultra-wide camera, and a 48MP telephoto camera. That said, Google is believed to have added macro mode to both the ultra-wide and telephoto cameras.
While the lack of camera hardware upgrades is no doubt disappointing, we reckon Google will have a few tricks up its sleeves on the image processing front.
The Pixel 10 Pro and 10 Pro XL will likely feature slightly bigger batteries—4,870mAh for the Pixel 10 Pro (vs 4,700mAh on the Pixel 9) and 5,200mAh for the Pixel 10 Pro XL (vs 5,060mAh on the Pixel 9 Pro XL).
Rumours also say that both Pixel 10 Pro models will support higher wired charging speeds of 29W and 39W, respectively. They will also support Qi2 wireless charging at up to 15W—that’s a downgrade from the 21W and 23W of their predecessors.
Other rumoured features include Pixelsnap (Google’s take on MagSafe), Hub Mode (Google’s standby mode display feature), and new colour options.
Google is expected to unveil the Pixel 10 series on 20 August 2025, with retail availability slated for 28 August.
