Google’s AI Pro Plan Worth ₹19,500 is Now Free for Indian Students – Analytics India Magazine

Google is now providing a free one-year subscription to the company’s AI Pro plan for students aged 18 and over in India, according to its announcement on 15 July. 
This lets students in the country access its most capable AI model, the Gemini 2.5 Pro, along with expanded access to Google’s AI products. 
This involves access to tools like Deep Research with Gemini 2.5 Pro and NotebookLM, which provides 5x more access, as well as access to the video generation tool Veo 3 in Gemini and Flow, among other features. 
The plan also includes 2 TB (terabytes) of Google Cloud storage. This yearly plan, normally costing ₹19,500, is now being offered free for students.
The company stated that students can visit the official offer page to learn more about eligibility and sign up. To claim the free one-year subscription, eligible students must complete their registration by September 15, 2025. 
Google, citing a report, stated that 95% of students in India who use Gemini feel more confident in their daily lives.
“We’re already seeing students use the Gemini app for diverse use cases, from understanding complex topics and preparing for job interviews to sparking creative ideas. Our mission is to empower every student with the AI tools they need to advance their learning and unlock their creativity,” said the company. 
Gemini 2.5 Pro is the company’s flagship AI model, which offers both deep research and reasoning capabilities. It stands atop several benchmark evaluations. 
On the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index, which measures an AI model’s performance across seven evaluations in different fields such as maths, reasoning, coding, and more, the Gemini 2.5 Pro scored 70 points, while OpenAI’s o3-pro scored 71 points in second place, and xAI’s latest model, Grok 4, ranked first with 73 points.
Recently, Google also announced an update to NotebookLM and launched “Featured Notebooks” —  a curated set of collections created in collaboration with authors, researchers, publishers and nonprofits.
