One of the most innovative tools in the field of information access in 2025 is that Google will continue to improve tremendously on its AI Mode in Search. New developments include the introduction of strong capabilities like the PDF analysis, the organisational Canvas tool, and the search live which gives real-time video input. As it expands to the U.S. and India as the first countries, some of the capabilities are already available through the experiment AI Mode Labs. Google AI Mode significantly enhances professional networking by acting as an intelligent, context-aware digital assistant integrated across Google services. It makes professionals more organised and effective because it can condense complicated data, organise its project through programs such as Canvas and also be able to search entities in a conversation as a way of gaining more in depth information about an industry and company along with the contact. As with multimodal inputs, such as receiving real-time video through Search Live, it allows the user to have various information at any time, whether it is a meeting or conference, enhancing networking experience.
The guiding power of AI Mode in presenting real-time information that is personalised as well as follow-up response facilitates informed outreach and relationship building. Android, iPhone, and desktop users are now able to directly upload PDFs to Google Search and inquire about what these files contain. Google is rolling out the Canvas component in AI Mode that is intended to assist users to develop and manage projects in an interactive side panel. It is announced that Canvas will soon be able to upload files, incl. Google Drive and thus, it will allow all of the plans and notes to be saved in one developing work space.
With Search Live, Google leverages Project Astra and Google Lens to let users point their smartphone camera at scenes and receive instant answers. This real time video feed changes how people interact with the world – simply put some questions concerning what you see and get back answers in real time with AI Mode. This is also applicable in terms of back and forth conversational AI guided information.
The address bar will have a new shortcut called Ask Google about this page that can be used by Google Chrome users. No matter whether you are on a webpage, PDF or other files on your desktop, simply ask your question and have the relevant AI Overview results in a separate side panel. Ask more questions to get deeper information and analysis.
