Adobe has introduced a new AI-powered productivity agent within its Acrobat platform, expanding its document and content creation tools with features focused on information analysis, content generation and interactive sharing.
The productivity agent combines Acrobat’s document intelligence with AI tools to help users generate text, images and content formats such as presentations, podcasts and social media posts. It also supports conversational PDF editing and works within PDF Spaces, an AI-powered workspace where users can combine files, links and notes for research and collaboration.
The new features are available through Acrobat Express, a new offering that combines AI-powered document insights and content generation tools, and Acrobat Studio, which includes PDF editing and AI features.
The productivity agent is designed to work alongside its broader AI and agent-based product strategy, including compatibility with third-party agents. The tool can help users analyse documents, organise information and create interactive sharing experiences.
Speaking on the launch, David Wadhwani, President of Creativity and Productivity Business, Adobe, said, “Adobe’s productivity agent is redefining how people work with information. We’re bringing together decades of Acrobat’s document intelligence with agents to help people discover insights faster, generate visually rich content effortlessly and share interactive experiences with customised agents that convey their tone and intent.”
The company also introduced new sharing and publishing capabilities in PDF Spaces. The feature allows users to create interactive document experiences by combining PDFs, notes and web links into a single workspace.
Features include AI-generated summaries and audio overviews, branded layouts, engagement analytics and custom AI assistants that can answer recipient questions and provide suggestions based on shared documents.
Abhigyan Modi, Senior Vice President, Adobe Document Cloud, said, “We’re not just adding new features, we’re introducing a new format. For the first time, sharing documents means sharing an experience that’s tailored to your intended audience, whether that’s a client, a team or a million subscribers. Now every one of those experiences can be as personal and purposeful as the work that went into creating it.”
The PDF Spaces can be accessed without requiring an account, while the new productivity agent and sharing tools are included in Adobe Acrobat AI plans.
