Independent media agency Audience Group has appointed Konstanz Muller Hering as SEO/GEO lead in a newly created role to bring search expertise into the agency’s strategy function.
Muller Hering has joined from News Corp where she was search engine optimisation specialist. In her new role, she will report directly to Audience Group partner and head of strategy Casey Greig.
“We think search needs to be part of the strategic conversation much earlier than it traditionally has been. People are using search differently, and AI is accelerating that change. We want the expertise sitting with Strategy so we can consider search behaviour alongside what a brand wants to be known for, how it reaches people and how consumers make decisions,” said Audience Group co-founder and managing director James McDonald.
Muller Hering will work across Audience Group’s client portfolio, bringing SEO and GEO expertise into strategic planning and helping clients understand how their brands are appearing across traditional search and increasingly AI-powered search environments.
“Paid and owned media increasingly need to be planned as one connected system. What brands pay to promote should strengthen what customers can find organically and vice versa. That’s why we’re integrating SEO into Strategy – to help clients get more value and better outcomes from both,” said Greig.
“As AI changes how people search for and discover information, we need to think beyond rankings and keywords to how brands are understood and represented. I’m looking forward to joining Audience Group and working with a leadership team that sees search as part of a much broader strategic picture,” said Muller Hering.
