Google keeps enhancing its core Android components, like the Play Store and Play Services, through monthly Play system updates. It recently detailed the June 2025 Google Play system update for hundreds of Android devices across phones, tablets, TVs, smartwatches, and other categories. On top of that, featured in-app items have been updated to improve your overall experience.
As usual, Google does not share a specific timeline for the release of the latest Play system update. Rest assured, the company will soon begin rolling out the update through the Play Store and Play Services for eligible Galaxy devices. The Google Play Services version 25.23 brings several improvements across multiple categories. On phones, the update now includes Happiness Tracking Surveys within the Cast feature. On top of that, you will now get a smoother experience when you back up your device and photos. For Android Auto, the update adds a camera access toggle for Google Maps to the terms of service. Furthermore, you will get an enhanced experience on transit-related taps on your WearOS device.
As for Google Play Store version 46.7, it brings a host of new features for Android smartphone users. This update makes it easier to download large apps over cellular data. Additionally, you may notice a new grid format for ads on the Play Store homepage. For a more seamless experience, Google has redesigned the app download and installation process.
