“Generated for You” leverages AI to identify relevant content opportunities across shopping catalogs, pre-generating images and videos that merchants can quickly save or publish across Google platforms. Smart Bidding Exploration is an opt-in feature that builds on existing Smart Bidding technology, using AI to discover new, qualified leads that marketers might typically miss or not bid on. The new agentic capabilities in Google Ads and Analytics can learn from various advertising inputs, including datasets, landing pages, assets, and real-time campaign performance, making advertising more intuitive and effective.
India stands as the world’s second-largest internet market, continuously onboarding new users and expanding its digital footprint. This robust growth creates an incredibly fertile ground for digital advertising. A recent report projects the country’s digital ad market to surge by over 20% year-over-year, potentially reaching nearly $7 billion by the end of 2025. This rapid expansion underscores India’s pivotal role in the global digital economy.
Google views India not just as its largest user base but also as a market with consistent growth in ad revenues. In fiscal year 2024, Google’s gross ad revenue in India saw an 11% year-over-year increase, reaching ₹312.21 billion ($3.6 billion). During early testing, Cashify experienced a 15% increase in conversions and a 12% reduction in customer acquisition costs after deploying AI Max, demonstrating the tangible benefits of AI-powered ads.
Furthermore, Google announced that ads will soon appear on AI Overviews in India later this year, expanding ad visibility within Google’s AI-driven search results. The company has introduced shoppable connected TV ads on YouTube in India, allowing consumers to make purchases directly from their television screens. Additionally, YouTube’s masthead on mobile will now also serve ads in the country, increasing prime advertising real estate.
YouTube on connected TVs has emerged as the most-watched streaming service on television in India over the past year, highlighting its immense reach. India is also a critical market for YouTube Shorts, with trillions of views recorded since its launch. An impressive 87% of Indian consumers engage with YouTube or Shorts as part of their shopping journey.
