Google released a new update to Google Health today as v5.08 on iOS and Android. This is a super minor update that brings “general stability improvements and bug fixes,” as well as 2 other noteworthy changes.
The first is that Google Health now requires a Google Account. The migration from Fitbit account to Google Account is over. If you try to login with Fitbit credentials, you’ll run into issues. Also, if you haven’t migrated data by this time, it will be deleted.
The other issue is a fix for a sign-up bug that users were running into where their email may have previously been associated with Fitbit. That should now be gone and using your preferred Google Account to sign-in will work.
